I am an Australian living in the US and I love to cook and entertain. My mother, Carmilla, from whom I learned many tricks of the trade, was a home economics teacher and a terrific cook. As a family we were always entertaining, and now my husband and I love to have friends and family around for good food, great wine and his amazing home brews. I firmly believe the key to successful entertaining is to prepare as much as possible beforehand so that you can enjoy the company of your friends, and great wines you have selected to compliment your delicious meal. Nobody loves a stressed host! And remember – the Inebriated Epicurean should avoid the urge to be flamboyant and flambe. Trust me; it never ends well!
